Originally from Rochester, Jake recently moved to the Twin Cities. He has several years’ experience fighting wildfires in the Black Hills National Forest with his Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science. Working as a sawyer on a hotshot crew, Jake gained valuable experience felling trees and controlling potentially dangerous situations in the field. He is eager to expand his knowledge of trees and tree care at Vineland. In his spare time, he enjoys running, biking, and surfing.
